Hello Everybody,
Since restrictions have been lifted I would like to thank everyone for coming along and supporting The Horseshoes, which you have been doing in large numbers.
As mentioned previously, we have kept several Covid safety measures in place. Hand sanitisers are still available if people should choose to use them. We haven’t placed the bar stools at the bar to keep this area free for those ordering drinks. All of our staff will wear face masks as they move around the pub, and some of our customers are still choosing to wear a mask when they move round as a way to help themselves and others feel safe. Our tables are still socially distanced, being at least 1 metre apart, which was the legal minimum requirement.
When the government have announced that around 95% of people have had 2 jabs then we will review the situation, giving due consideration to removing the last of the Covid safety measures. It may be some time before this happens.
The next quiz is on Tuesday August 31st at 8pm. Please book your tables now. Also, if you do have a table booked but find you can no longer attend then do please let us know. We feel it is too early to re-introduce quiz meals and table service will continue for drinks orders.
Most of you know the kitchen is now open Wednesday to Saturday 12-8pm and Sundays 12-3pm and our Chef’s Sunday Specials have been well received.
The weather has been very changeable and so our new umbrellas have really come into their own. As we move into late summer and early Autumn we hope to announce new events such as live music as well as our entertainment on New Year’s Eve.
Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve may seem far away but people are already booking their tables. You can book now by calling the pub on 01529 414092
