Hello Everybody,
We hope you all enjoyed your Bank Holiday weekend. We had at least one glorious day weather-wise, thank goodness. The days are drawing out and the lighter nights and warmer temperatures have come at just the right time considering the energy price rise that is affecting us all.
The April 26th quiz was attended by 65 players so we sent £130 to Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. The 1-2-1 question was “In the Home Alone films MaCaulay Culkin played which character?” and we asked for the first name and surname. The answer was Kevin McCallister and the contestant answered correctly and won £80. The next quiz is on 31st May starting at 8pm and the 1-2-1 question will have a £60 prize. As always please book your tables as soon as possible and if you find closer to the date that you can’t attend, do let us know.
Just a reminder that we are holding a BBQ on Saturday June 4th from 3pm onwards. All proceeds from ticket sales go to Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance in recognition of the Queen’s 70th Jubilee. Tickets are £3 each and are available to buy at the bar.
You may have seen that we have extended our dining times to include all day Wednesday and extended our Friday and Saturday hours. We now serve food:
Wednesday 12-7.15pm
Thursday 12-7.15pm
Friday 12-8pm
Saturday 12-8pm
Further to that we are considering bringing back quiz meals which would be light bites and also Sunday Lunches but we will let you all know when a decision is made.
