Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Hello Everybody,

Here we are in Jubilee Week and the rain has been pouring down. We’re now keeping our fingers crossed for improved weather at the weekend. We look forward to welcoming all ticket holders to the BBQ. We have around 150 attending so we would ask everybody to have a little patience in case of a gridlock at the grill.

May 31st quiz was attended by 47 players so, including a donation, £95 has been sent to Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. The 1-2-1 question was “The Animals pop group made the record The House of The Rising Sun. Who played the organ on the track?” The answer was Alan Price who later left the Animals to form his own group. Unfortunately this was answered incorrectly and so next month’s 1-2-1 question will have a prize of £80. The next quiz will be on 28th June starting at 8pm. As always please book your tables as soon as possible and, if you find closer to the date that you can’t attend, do let us know.

On May 8th The Horseshoes hosted the last night of the Sleaford Live Music Festival. There were about 25 musicians who played from 4pm until 7pm and the event was enjoyed by both players and those who came to listen.

Just a reminder that our kitchen is now open

Finally we send Her Majesty The Queen our heartiest congratulations and thank you for 70 years of service.

We hope everybody enjoys the Jubilee Celebrations.
