Hello everybody,
First of all, on behalf of Louise and myself and all the staff at The Horseshoes, we wish you all a very Happy and Peaceful New Year.
As you’re probably aware Louise has had a spell in hospital and is now on the road to recovery and back doing light duties at the pub. She thanks everyone for their kind thoughts and messages of goodwill and get well soon.
We thank you for supporting the Horseshoes over the past 12 months which goes a long way to ensuring that we can keep the pub open for the long term.
As far as the Covid-19 situation is concerned, we have no idea of the short or long term effects on the hospitality trade, of which we are a part, but you can be assured that whatever happens we will take all relevant steps to ensure the safety and well-being of customers and staff.
Our kitchen will be fully staffed from the end of January when we take on a new cook to work alongside Dee. The restaurant itself will be closed from the middle of January till probably the third week of February whilst we carry out some alterations. Food will continue to be served in the bar area. There’s never a good time to close part of the business for a short time but January is possibly the quietest month.
From the end of February we will be extending the food service to include Sundays, Tuesday and Wednesdays if things go to plan.
Whilst the restaurant is closed our January quiz will not take place but we will be back with the quiz in February and will keep you all informed.
Kindest Regards
Keep well,
Paul Steer, Landlord
Louise Nelson, Manager
